Kitchen Table Talk 4

Friday!  I have a lot planned for today.  How about you?  The most exciting thing I have going on today is some makeup help at ULTA.  I’m going in to see if they can recommend a light, easy to do makeup routine.  With my gray curly hair, if I have too much makeup on, I begin to look like Mrs. Roper or a drag queen.  So, I will let you know in another post how this goes and what they suggest!

Did I tell you I have 3 weddings coming up?  One is Sept 22, with a rehearsal dinner to attend Sept. 21, November 4 and December 30 in Dallas, TX.  I’m helping to host a groomsmen luncheon on the 30th so will need an outfit for that as well.  I went in Bealls yesterday to see if they had any decent dresses and I think I found some that will work.  Tell me your opinion, but be nice 🙂

I mentioned that I was helping the JHS Choir Booster Association make mums the other day.  If you are not from Texas you might not know what I am talking about.  A mum is a fabric flower with ribbons, bows and fun trinkets to show off what your student is involved in, whether it be sports, band, choir, student council, theatre, etc.  They are worn to celebrate Homecoming.  I’ll show you an example.  When I was in high school they were made with real chrysanthemums.

Well, I am going to finish my Earl Grey with honey and lemon (still fighting a cough) and get this day going!  Y’all have a super duper Friday!

Please like and share and comment and subscribe.  There may be some fun giveaways in the upcoming days!

The top is lovely! color and all! I thought the blue of the dress is a little more “spring” looking because of the color? Otherwise it’s a great cut for you! The mum is beautiful! so fancy!! What a fun way to volunteer!

I think that the neckline on both the top and the dress suit you very well, and the colours are great on you too. However I think the waist on the dress cuts you in half and does not elongate your body shape, whereas the skirt and top give you length. Go for the skirt!
