Kitchen Table Talk – Midlife Musings 4

I have been working on this blog for about 6 months now and I really haven’t changed anything as far as the appearance of the blog.  I primarily write it on my cell phone and don’t always see “the big picture”.  So, I made an appointment with a non-profit group for women-owned businesses.  The meeting was in the “Big Enchilada” library.  That is was the city calls our main downtown library.  The picture explains why it’s called that!

I met with a young man who explained some things that needed to be changed with the blog and said he would have another local blogger get in touch with me and also a young graphic designer who could help me.  Much of what he suggested I understood, but it’s the execution that’s difficult!  One of the things I love about being older, is that I’m not embarrassed to say I don’t know how to do something!  How liberating!  So, we will see if I can learn a little more and spiff this blog up!

But, not today!  Today I have a few miscellaneous things to talk about and show you. Last night Jolie was a bit down and asked if I would make her some peppermint tea.  She was already in bed, so I went downstairs and prepared her tea and a snack of a tortilla with melted cheese in it.  I took the tray up to her majesty.  Check out the pic and see what’s funny about it!  Tell me in the comments!

This morning I got up to do my The Magic by Rhonda Byrne day 11 reading when I looked out the kitchen window and saw a tiny little doe face peeking at me through the fence.  It was cold as heck, but I put a throw over my shoulders and went to the shed to get some corn for her.  I thought to myself this must be what living on a farm is like – early to rise in the cold to feed the chickens or whatever!  Alright, it was 8:00am, but still.  As soon as I put the corn down and turned my back, Daddy Warbucks comes to eat.  Don’t worry, the little does didn’t let him hog it all.

Ok, the last thing I wanted to show you was what I wore to the Big Enchilada meeting.  I felt pretty stylish if I say so myself.  I wore black no name slacks and boots with a white/cream blouse and then layered the herringbone black and white vest over all.   I wore the black diamond filigree earrings from Plunder and a Zebra cuff that was under Specials that sold out quickly.  If you see something you like, purchase quickly because pieces are selling out fast!  You can always check what is under the Specials tab by going to plunderdesign.com/pattikarshis and selecting Specials under Menu.

My lipstick was gone by the time I took this photo, my Rodan+Fields Mineral Peptides with SPF 20 makeup is still on though.
